10 Dietary Reasons For Poor Nutrition By Kevin Hinton

We understand that there is very rarely, if ever, only one predisposing cause in regards to symptoms of ill health - it is usually, and in most cases, a combination of all eight essential factors, viz: Foods, Air, Water, Sunlight, Exercise, Rest, Mental Poise, Spinal Integrity.

However, if there were one disease-producing factor that is more predominant than any other - it would be "improperly constituted food."

The following snippets will address 10 factors in our Western diet that contribute toward 'disease symptoms.'

1. Foods of poor quality - grown on impoverished soil and fed chemicals to stimulate growth - their life-force is stunted.

2. Foods heated beyond their critical temperature - each food likes to be eaten at a specific temperature - only then does it open its vault and reveal its sweetness and fragrance.

3. Frozen foods - snap frozen nutrition - at what point of nutrition were they frozen.

4. Irradiated foods - put in the same category with frozen - dead food.

5. Non foods - almost anything wrapped, bagged, boxed, canned or otherwise kept together by something other than a living skin.

6. Those articles that are sold by their emotional appeal - containing additives, preservatives, colorings, emulsifiers, etc. - concoctions of R&D people in laboratories trying to make products that resemble food properties - they are but a poor imitation of nature's bountiful fruits.

7. Excess amounts of foods beyond the true needs of the body - need we say more? The average person has almost no idea of the quantity of foods needed to maintain a condition of health.

8. Foods eaten out of cycle with the body's rhythms - 24 hour digestion is not natural.

9. Foods picked before ripeness and shipped to destinations out of the natural growth cycle - and arriving with almost no sweetness (read as no sugars) and therefore having little value in supplying the vital elements necessary for the growth of tissue and supply of nerve force.

10. The eating of foods that are not the most efficient source of energy transmutation for that particular species - as in the human species eating flesh foods.

Please remember that playground joke from your childhood:
Q: How does one eat an elephant?
A: A bite at a time.
Life is like that - sometimes doing a little bit a time is the best way to get to where you are going. All the best in taking a little bite at a time as you improve your dietary requirements.

Understanding Medicaid

Medicaid is a insurance program, which is designed to offer affordable health care for Americans with low incomes. Medicaid, while funded by both the federal government and the states, is administered by each individual state. As a result, Medicaid and its services vary from state to state, but each state is required to adhere to a number of federal regulations in order to receive federal funding.

In the United States, Medicaid is the largest source of medical insurance for people with low incomes, however there are still over 60% of low incomes people who do not qualify for Medicaid. Currently, coverage of nursing home costs is the most rapidly expanding part of Medicaid.

Medicaid has been around for 44 years and was established in 1965 as part of the Social Security Act. While today all 50 states participate in Medicaid, this has not always been the case. In fact, it was not until 1982 that all states had a functioning Medicaid program, with Arizona being the last state to enter into the Medicaid Program.

While many states use Medicaid as the name of their program, this is not required. In fact, many states have a special name for their services, such as Medi-Cal in California. A number of states also allow private insurance companies to administer their Medicaid Programs, with what are referred to as Medicaid Managed Care Plans. Vermont is one state, which allows a private insurance company to administer their Medicaid Programs.

In addition to allowing for private insurance companies to manage their Medicaid programs, it is not uncommon for a state to include a number of health programs under the same group as their Medicaid program. For example, a state might choose to allow their Medicaid Program and Children's insurance program to be managed by the same branch of the government.

Since there is such a great deal of flexibility between states regarding how Medicaid is covered and administered, the plans often vary a great deal between states. However, the federal government has a number of requirements and rules that each Medicaid Program must follow. Failure to follow these federal regulations results in the loss of Federal Funding. The federal side of the Medicaid programs is administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services(CMS,) which as the name implies is also responsible for administering over Medicare.

As a result of each state having a slightly different Medicaid program, it is not possible to say how certain costs are covered or what the exact requirements for application are. However, all 50 states are required to approve or deny Medicaid Applications within 45 days of receiving the application, with 90 days given in the case of disabilities.

Medicaid is a very important service, which allows many single mothers, families, and individuals with low incomes to be able to afford quality medical care. Medicaid also covers the cost of visits to the dentist, as well as coverage of prescription medicines beginning in the 1990's.

It's Natural to Be Healthy

Is it possible to live naturally and to enjoy good health as a result? And if it is possible - How do we do it?

I am going to say from the beginning that it is natural to be healthy and barring accident or trauma, we should live out the course of our natural lives in a state of health and happiness.

We have the technology!

The human species is in a position to be able to create an environment that produces optimal health.

To put the matter bluntly, the world is out-of-joint.

Our present health system is failing, despite the advances being made in 'medical science.'

We seemingly cannot prevent such simple complaints as headaches, colds or influenza, let alone the more serious diseases.

Illness, particularly chronic illness, is on the increase, and illnesses that once were quite unknown are now common.

Iatrogenic diseases - (the direct result of medical treatment) are now a part of standard medical textbooks, with titles such as 'The Side-Effects of Drugs,' or 'The Diseases of Medical Progress.'

With all our technological advances we still fail miserably in the knowledge of the important business of living healthfully.

• We can design and build fantastically complicated machinery - machinery that will tie a knot in a piece of string.
• We can build computers that will perform feats of astronomical calculation.
• We have conquered space, but we are unable to live in harmony on planet earth.

Happiness is often mistaken as a sign of excitement, stimulation and image and Health is something that is disappearing very quickly in our species.

Having allegedly lengthened our life-span and conferred so many benefits on our society, medicine now grudgingly admits that the side effects of many of its pet remedies such as Thalidomide, Tetracycline, Cortisone, Phenacetin, Penicillin, Vaccines and the wide array of Antibiotics can cause serious illness, deformities, or even death.

It's time to ask questions about our traditional health system - it isn't working.

It's time to look at the alternative to treating symptoms with medicines - whatever their origin.

And it's time to act on our own behalf in order to assure, not only our own health and happiness but more importantly - the preservation of the species.

There is no better time to take control of our health than right now.

Health is an inside out job - NOT - an outside in job.

All the best for your Health and Happiness.
